What you can achieve
In this key position, you are responsible for strategically important programs and special projects in the field of military computing, communication, and network systems of RUAG.
You act as a senior program manager, architect, and trusted advisor for customers such as KdoCy (Swiss Army), armasuisse, LBA, and other security-relevant clients. This may also include foreign security organizations, procurement authorities, and armies.
Your main tasks
- Responsibility for tactical voice and data communication systems (stationary, mobile, close to deployment)
- Overall responsibility for complex ICT, security, and network projects including RUAG proprietary products throughout the entire lifecycle
- Management of large projects as well as building, controlling, and prioritizing project and program portfolios
- Definition of system architectures as well as availability, operational, and security concepts
- Acquisition, conception, and management of strategic defense and C5I programs
- Advising the business unit management on strategic, technological, and security-related issues
- Active participation in the transformation, standardization, and further development of RUAG capabilities in the field of tactical communication
What you bring with you
- Doctorate (Dr. sc. ETH) or equivalent qualification
- ETH education in computer science, telecommunications, or engineering
- Many years of professional experience in the defense, security-critical, or armament industry
- Proven success in program and large project management as well as military tactical and strategic communication
- Solid experience in building and operating highly available, secure ICT infrastructures
- Very good understanding of military command processes, VBS procurement and project logics, as well as system-of-systems approaches
- Strong leadership skills, high integrity, and resilience
- Military leadership experience as a cadre (staff, command, crisis organization) is a clear advantage
