Laboratory Reception Technician at the DMLP
The Directorate of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP) is looking for a technician at an activity rate of 80% - 100%, on a permanent contract, to strengthen the laboratory reception team.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Laboratory Reception (RL) is responsible for collecting and processing all biological samples from the various CHUV departments, external laboratories, and medical practices.
Its role is to ensure the pre-analytical handling of biological samples, their control, and their transmission to the different laboratories within and outside CHUV, so that they can be analyzed as quickly as possible.
Mission
- You ensure the handling of biomedical analysis requests (reception/sorting/registration)
- You perform admissions for external patient analysis requests
- You handle requests for analyses to be outsourced
- You perform aliquoting of samples
- You participate in the weekend on-call rotation.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a medical or pharmacy assistant, laboratory technician, or an equivalent qualification in the health field
- You have professional experience in a laboratory (desired)
- You have a particular interest in the pre-analytical field
- You demonstrate rigor, discretion, organization, and possess good communication and teamwork adaptation skills
- You are comfortable with computer tools and have the adaptability required to use new software.
