About the job

Your area of responsibility: As a member of the executive management, you implement the financial and business management goals of the museum in accordance with cantonal guidelines. You lead the areas of finance, HR, ICT as well as the renovation project, are responsible for procurement, and represent the museum towards the interest groups.

Deputy to the Director: You represent the director and take over the management and leadership tasks of the art museum as well as representative duties in her absence.

Strategic leadership & further development: In this role, you support the director as a sparring partner and experienced leader and represent the economically relevant topics in the executive management. You are responsible for the strategy processes in your area and accompany or ensure the implementation of the set goals.

Financial planning & controlling: You are responsible for the budgeting process, forecasts, and multi-year financial planning. In addition, you further develop controlling, design risk management, and promote a sustainable financial strategy for economic stability.

Process optimization & collaboration: You analyze and optimize cross-departmental processes. In doing so, you cooperate closely with cantonal authorities and other cultural institutions. Your expertise in change management and digitalization contributes significantly to increasing efficiency.

Experience: You have at least five years of experience in the business and financial management of a complex organization with comparable challenges. You are well versed in strategic and commercial issues in their full breadth. A holistic view of the organization and professional practice in the efficient design of cross-functional processes is another requirement. You also have experience in professional dealings with very diverse stakeholders. Experience in a public institution or an artistic organization is an advantage.

Personality: You are a communicative leadership personality with a will to shape and the ability to drive change processes, inspire employees, and take them on a shared journey. In addition, you have pronounced organizational talent and strong presentation skills.

Education: You have a completed degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field. Experience and further training in finance/HR (CAS/MBA) are an advantage. SAP knowledge is desired.

Language: You have very good oral and written communication skills in German and English. French skills are an advantage.
