The Thun hospital covers the entire spectrum of spine surgery (trauma, degenerative diseases as well as tumor surgery). The scope of duties includes both the surgical care of patients (if necessary with support from the senior physicians) and covering the consultation hours and on-call duties. Completed training as a spine surgeon is not a prerequisite. Participation in spine courses and further training is supported.
