Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ currently has 670 employees dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a certified educator for the Aubépine Home which welcomes, day and night, four young people aged 12 to 18 with significant psychiatric issues, and ensures care follow-up through adapted therapeutic and educational services.
Job Description
- Provide educational support and accompaniment within a multidisciplinary team, to adolescents aged 12 to 18 living in the home
- Prepare young people for autonomy by supporting them in daily learning, gradual responsibility-taking, and integration
- Be open to the pedagogy of relational development and establish an educational relationship based on trust, emotional regulation, and valuing each young person's potential
- Work closely with placement services and families
- Actively participate in team meetings, network meetings, and supervisions.
Job Specifics
- Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends).
Start date : July 1, 2026
Work rate : 80%
Contract type : Permanent contract
Grade : 13 or 15 according to the State of Geneva salary scale

Qualifications
- Bachelor in social work (HETS) or Diploma of social educator (ES) or university bachelor (field related to social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE
- Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by SEFRI (or an equivalent recognized body)
- Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in a similar position with adolescents with special educational needs
- Strong interest and motivation to work with young people presenting severe mental disorders
- Excellent crisis management skills and ability to intervene appropriately in complex situations
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team while maintaining the specificities and role inherent to the function
- Very good knowledge of the Swiss and Geneva socio-educational, pedagogical, and therapeutic network
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and initiative, combined with a strong team spirit
- Perfect command of French, both spoken and written.

Possession of a driving license (category B)
Be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
