Senior Machine Design Engineer

About the job

You design equipment based on the specifications of our clients, in close collaboration with other relevant departments.

You take responsibility for the technical choices of your constructions.

You coordinate the operational part and the control part of your projects.

You perform preliminary sizing calculations, take care of constructive aspects, and supervise the preparation of manufacturing drawings.

You write technical documentation and participate in manufacturing follow-up and testing.

You carry out updates or improvements to existing machines.

You perform risk analyses (FMECA) and functional analyses.

What you bring:

You hold a HES engineering degree or a ES Technician diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

You have at least 10 years of experience in heavy mechanical construction, accompanied by good knowledge of boiler making, manufacturing and welding techniques, and machining.

You are proactive in optimizing design work: cost reduction, performance improvement, and reliability enhancement.

You are ready to take on technological challenges.

You are inventive, autonomous, and have good time and priority management skills. You have the ability to adapt in an evolving technological environment.

You master a 3D software, ideally CATIA V5.

You express yourself fluently in French and English and master the written form.
