The  Diagnostic Department , composed of eight medical services, is tasked with providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialized clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the best timeframes and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The  Radiology Service has as its main mission the performance of diagnostic radiology examinations and therapeutic interventions guided by various imaging techniques. This clinical activity includes approximately 220,000 examinations and 5,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant portion of which is provided on a 24/7 basis. The medical team of the Radiology Service also organizes more than 300 multidisciplinary conferences per month, on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.

Job Description

The radiology service is looking for an assistant physician specializing in ENT and maxillofacial radiology to coordinate and develop clinical diagnostic and research activities in this field.

You will supervise the consultation activity and interpretation of examinations in the ENT and maxillofacial radiology unit and ensure the development of this unit, in close collaboration with the assistant physician responsible for this unit and according to the objectives set by the latter and the head physician of the service.

You ensure the proper functioning of the unit in terms of quality and timeliness of services and the supervision of staff.

You participate in on-call and standby duties in radiology, as designated by the head physician of the service.

You guarantee a good interface with other units and sectors of the emergency and radiology service, as well as other clinical services of the Geneva University Hospitals.

You participate in pre/postgraduate and continuing education in radiology.

You oversee and contribute to the development of quality research within the unit in the field of ENT and maxillofacial radiology.

You contribute to the development of collaborative projects in the field of ENT and maxillofacial radiology with the radiology service, other services of the diagnostic department, and other departments of the Geneva University Hospitals.

Qualifications

You hold a federal medical diploma as well as an FMH specialist title in radiology or equivalent titles recognized in Switzerland. You hold a European diploma of subspecialty in ENT and maxillofacial radiology or an equivalent title (CIREOL or other desired).

If your diploma comes from a foreign country, you have obtained recognition from the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO) and your diploma is registered in the Medical Professions Register (MedReg).

You also hold a doctoral thesis.

You have an independent cantonal medical practice license in Geneva.

You master the French language (spoken and written - C1 level required) and have very good enumeration skills. For non-French-speaking applicants, C1 level in spoken and written French is required.

You have academic interests and possess very good experience collaborating in a university environment.

You have recognized clinical experience in adult ENT and maxillofacial radiology and, if possible, pediatric radiology.

With excellent communication skills in multidisciplinary teams and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person. Additionally, you have demonstrated strong adaptability.

You have leadership qualities that allow you to supervise interns and clinic chiefs and to support and motivate staff.
