Research Associate / Pharmacist at the Pharmacy Service
The Pharmacy Service of the CHUV is looking for a research associate / pharmacist at a 50% activity rate, within the framework of a fixed-term one-year contract, for the project "Drug Extravasation."
The starting date is scheduled for February 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in care, research, and education.
The Pharmacy Service of the CHUV has the following missions:
- manufacturing and supplying pharmaceutical products
- promoting the rational use of medicines
- teaching and research in hospital pharmacy.
The "Drug Extravasation" project aims to strengthen prevention, detection, reporting, analysis, and standardization of practices related to extravasations, in collaboration with care teams.
Mission
- You lead a research project on drug extravasations
- You write and distribute local surveys and contribute to national assessments
- You conduct audits of professional practices
- You develop a computerized and secure space for reporting and collecting extravasation incidents
- You develop, distribute, and analyze the relevance of an e-learning module intended for caregivers (guidelines to follow)
- You lead an interdisciplinary working group on the topic
- You write a recommendation guide aimed at standardizing primary and secondary prevention practices
- You write referenced monographs for drugs administered intravenously.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Diploma of Pharmacist or an equivalent recognized title
- You are familiar with the hospital environment
- You have good computer skills
- You have completed an internship in hospital pharmacy (an asset)
Depending on the candidate's profile, the salary class will be between levels 11 and 13.
