Our HR Services team is the driving force behind the scenes. We ensure that all events in the lifecycle of an employment are handled with high quality and individually for both academic and administrative staff. We support approximately 3300 employees with over 9000 employment contracts. This includes the complex hiring processes for national and international staff, including the associated insurance solutions and correct salary payments. Due to the variety of national and international employment relationships, we operate in a complex and highly exciting work environment. In addition, it is our concern to invest in the digitization of HR processes and to provide modern HR systems for efficient process handling.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a very experienced, motivated, and reliable personality.
Your tasks
- Administrative processing of all HR processes along the lifecycle of an employee for Swiss citizens, EU/EFTA citizens, and citizens from third countries for the entire University of St.Gallen (institutes, schools, and core administration).
- Responsibility for the correct and timely maintenance of personnel, master, and payroll data to carry out the monthly payroll runs
- Handling social and personal insurance for employees at home and abroad
- Processing accident and sickness notifications, EO/maternity benefits, and paternity leave
- Support in handling withholding tax settlements
- Timely obtaining of work and residence permits for foreign employees
- File management and archiving according to legal requirements
- Expert advice to employees and line managers on all questions regarding salary, social and personal insurance, and international employment
Your profile
- Completed commercial training with further education in Human Resource Management (e.g., HR specialist with federal diploma, social insurance specialist with federal diploma, finance and accounting specialist with federal diploma)
- Several years of professional experience in human resources with a focus on payroll, social and personal insurance, and withholding tax settlements
- Solid experience in the international HR environment
- Very good knowledge of SAP as well as high IT affinity and proficient handling of HR systems
- Experience in payroll accounting
- Practical experience in participating and supporting HR projects
- Native German speaker and very good English skills in spoken and written form
