We are looking for experienced Senior Cyber Security Analysts for our Cyber Defense Team

What your task is.

You are part of the Cyber Defense Team, your responsibilities include:

Analysis and handling of security events of our customers including in-depth root cause analyses as well as initiation of security incident response measures to limit damage

Taking over 24/7 on-call duty as an escalation point for critical incidents

Rollout of our Cyber Defense Services and underlying technologies (for example Hunters, Crowdstrike, Defender, Vectra, Cribl) as well as integration into the AVANTEC Cyber Defense toolchain

Definition, maintenance, and continuous expansion of playbooks and runbooks to be optimally prepared

Implementation of engineering activities to expand the Cyber Defense toolchain such as connecting new interfaces or developing new SOAR use cases

Support in building new security services from conception through engineering to stable operation

Interpretation of threat intelligence as well as active threat hunting in customer environments

Regular execution of config reviews and health checks in customer environments to ensure a high standard

Continuous improvement of central workflows, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Ensuring high customer satisfaction through professional and solution-oriented handling of concerns

What you bring with you.

Based on a solid technical education (HF/FH/University or comparable) and at least 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of cyber defense/SOC, you feel ready for this exciting task. If interested, you can take on further responsibility for the deployed toolchain (experience with Python is an advantage).

You are a team player and communicate well and gladly with customers as well as employees – both in German and English.
