The Kantonsschule Zimmerberg in Au ZH was newly opened in August 2020. In its sixth year of operation, it now has 24 classes and will grow in the coming years to a size of around 620 students. It offers a long and a short gymnasium with four Matura profiles (classical languages, modern languages, mathematical-scientific, and economic-legal). At our Kantonsschule, personal contact and the individual are at the center.
From February 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking to complement our team with a committed, open, and communicative personality who works responsibly, helpfully, and independently.
Your tasks
You help ensure the smooth operation of the IT services and ensure that the IT concerns of students, teachers, and staff in administration and operations are implemented promptly and according to needs. In doing so, you work hand in hand with the head of IT. You manage the approximately 200 school-owned Apple devices (iMacs, MacBooks, and iPads) and support the infrastructure in the classrooms (projectors, visualizers). Since students in the higher classes work with their own devices (BYOD), you also provide support for Windows devices. We use Microsoft software and Adobe CC Suite applications in teaching.
Your profile
We expect a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist EFZ with a focus on business informatics or an equivalent education as well as several years of professional experience, preferably in an educational institution. You have broad know-how as a supporter for Apple hardware and software and are also proficient in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Knowledge in Mobile Device Management and Office 365 completes your profile. The broad range of tasks and daily interaction with students and teachers in a lively environment require a high degree of flexibility and personal responsibility.
