Business Analyst in Tax Department 80 - 100%
Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst to start immediately or by arrangement. In this demanding position, you will play an important role in the Project and Portfolio Management team at the Cantonal Tax Office. The role is characterized by exciting tasks and complex challenges with various stakeholders.
Your tasks
You will work flexibly in all areas of the tax office and support the specialist departments in the methodical and strategic development of their fields of expertise. You gather requirements, identify weaknesses, and develop improvement proposals. In doing so, you guide stakeholders through the needs assessment process, ensure the business case, define acceptance criteria for change requests and projects, conduct tests, and organize user training if necessary. You also advise clients on organizational optimizations and cost-effectiveness. In the coming years, the application landscape will be completely renewed; you can specifically contribute your experience in business analysis to this project and actively help shape future-proof solutions. In individual cases, you will lead projects and/or technical subprojects.
Your profile
You have proven experience as a Business Analyst and ideally possess tax law expertise. You also have higher education in Business Analysis, Business Administration, or Engineering. You can critically review, classify, and use requirements from various stakeholders for the optimal alignment of processes, IT support, and structures.
Certifications in HERMES and/or IPMA certifications are an advantage.
You can structure tasks, approach them systematically, and complete them on time. You are empathetic, have strong communication skills, and feel comfortable being the contact person for relevant stakeholders.
We offer
If you want to help drive digitalization in the cantonal tax office,
an exciting role with a high degree of independence and personal responsibility awaits you. Comprehensive onboarding is a matter of course for us.
With us, you will find much more than just a job - we create an inspiring work environment for our employees: Your work-life balance is important to us, so we support you with home office options and flexible working hours.
