The Galvaswiss Group operates the largest hot-dip galvanizing plants, painting works, and powder coatings in Switzerland. For our headquarters in Felben-Wellhausen (TG) with about 120 employees, we are looking for a
Production Manager for Hot-Dip Galvanizing (m/f/d) 100%
As a manufacturing company with an in-house transport department, we are looking for leaders with organizational talent, strong communication skills, and a hands-on mentality. Ideally, you come from the metal and steel construction industry and are familiar with the rough environment of an owner-managed industrial large company. You have already gained experience in a managerial position and are able to think in a networked way. This allows you to quickly and holistically recognize production processes and understand their interconnections. Thus, you can fully align the organization of production and daily business with the needs of customers and optimally influence processes. Together with your team, you will develop creative and innovative solutions to continuously increase productivity. Down-to-earth practitioners are warmly welcome.
What to expect from us:
- Ensuring the quality and overall organization of the hot-dip galvanizing department
- Leading a team of about 80 employees in personnel and technical matters
- Coordinating and closely accompanying daily business
- Process-related project work and implementation of measures to increase productivity, such as developing tools in collaboration with the maintenance department
- Training and further education of employees through practical training and instruction
- Intensive support of customers and processing their daily concerns
What you bring:
- Metal or steel construction background or comparable craft background with knowledge of the terminology of steel and metal construction and leadership experience in the production of an industrial business, ideally in the field of hot-dip galvanizing
- Further education, e.g., as a metal construction master, technician HF or FH, or proof of relevant professional experience
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; English is an advantage
- High social competence in dealing with employees and customers as well as great commitment regarding the associated conversations, training, and instructions
- Above-average level of service orientation and affinity for technical consulting
- Attention to detail to maintain our quality as a Swiss company
