Your tasks:
Become part of the Institute for Integration and Participation! As a professor for Social Work and Aging with a focus on digital inclusion and participation, you take professional responsibility for the thematic focus "People in the Context of Aging." You research and teach about the effects of digital transformation on the living conditions of older people. You further develop the topic of digital inclusion and participation at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW and contribute to strengthening the FHNW future field "Future Health." Your tasks include:
- You acquire, lead, and implement research projects on the living conditions of older people with regard to the challenges and opportunities of digital inclusion and participation in the field of aging work and elderly care
- You conduct interdisciplinary projects to promote digital participation and health equity for older people
- You support social workers in developing and implementing innovative concepts, methods, and models that contribute to inclusive and ethically responsible digital participation of older people
- You take responsibility for conducting and further developing the specialization in aging in the Bachelor's degree program in Social Work and other courses in the field of Social Work and Aging in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Social Work
- You design and organize continuing education programs, professional seminars, and conferences
- You build and maintain national and international contacts and networks with practice and science
Your profile:
As a winning, enthusiastic, and proactive personality with joy in further developing social work in the field of aging work and in the education and training of social workers, you bring:
- Solid expertise in the field of Social Work and Aging with a focus on digital inclusion and participation
- University degree with a doctorate in Social Work or another social science discipline related to Social Work
- Competence and experience in successfully acquiring third-party funding, leading complex research and development projects, and designing project-related collaboration with partners from social work practice
- Experience in leading, designing, conducting, and further developing university-level courses as well as university didactic qualification or willingness to acquire this within the first years
- Several years of practical experience in social work – ideally in social aging work or in prevention and health promotion for older people
- Very good knowledge of the research landscape and the Swiss social system in the area of Social Work and Aging
- Experience in national and international, as well as trans- and interdisciplinary collaboration, good networking within the professional and scientific community
- High integration and communication skills, team and cooperation skills, conflict and criticism resilience, resilience and flexibility
- Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
