The Stiftung Leben im Alter Herisau is home to over 250 elderly people. At the three locations Heinrichsbad, Ebnet, and Dreilinden, around 260 employees shape everyday life in our houses. They ensure a high quality of life for the residents and thus make a valuable contribution to society. Service Employee on an Hourly Basis
We are immediately looking for substitutes on an hourly wage basis:
Your demanding and varied tasks:
- Professional and independent meal service in the restaurants and dining rooms
- Competent advice and support in menu selection taking into account individual needs
- Responsibility for the assigned dining rooms or service station
- Assistance with banquets, special events, and internal functions
- Careful mise en place for main meals as well as proper cleaning up and follow-up
- Carrying out general cleaning tasks as well as maintenance and care of the equipment and materials used
- Compliance with applicable hygiene (HACCP) and safety regulations as well as internal concepts and standards
- Ensuring quality standards according to our QM system in your own area of responsibility
Our requirements:
- Completed training in gastronomy and/or hotel management
- Professional experience in refined service
- You enjoy contact with elderly people and treat their individual needs with respect and patience.
- You are a host/hostess with passion
- You are a team player, reliable, flexible, and resilient
- You have an independent, responsible way of working and like to share your knowledge with your team
- You are willing to work regular weekend and holiday shifts
- You have very good German language skills in speaking and writing and understand the Swiss dialect
