ABOUT THE POSITION:
Long-term partnerships and strong relationships with retail are the fundamental basis for us as a market leader and form the background of our "Retail First" strategy. Our experts in the team use our data & insights from consumer and retail panels and many other unique sources to support our retail partners in making even better decisions. In addition, we have identified numerous potentials for profitable growth across the entire portfolio of NIQ and GfK. To continue driving our growth successfully, we are currently looking for a highly talented Key Account Manager (m/f/d) for our Retail Team in Switzerland.
YOUR FUTURE TASKS:
- You develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with the various business areas of your customers in the Swiss retail sector in FMCG and Nonfood/Tech & Durables.
- You plan and manage the success of your accounts based on strategic account plans from the stakeholder map through whitespots to SWOT analysis.
- You identify and understand the key needs of the different departments and decision-makers of your customers.
- You rely on customer-centric, strategic selling to secure existing customer contracts and continuously expand them across the entire NIQ/GfK portfolio.
- Together with colleagues from the product areas, you create and present convincing offers tailored to the specific questions of your customers and negotiate them to sales success.
- You bring together expertise from the specialist departments to find solutions that excite our customers and thereby achieve your sales targets.
- Pipeline management (Leads -> Opportunities -> Wins -> Renewals)
- You coordinate with colleagues the creation of presentations for the defined customers and present them to your key accounts.
- You prepare contracts in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments, such as Legal.
- Customer and budget responsibility.
- Alternation of office days, home office, and partial travel activity (10%).
YOUR PROFILE:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the market for FMCG / Nonfood / Retail.
- Completed university degree or comparable education.
- Fluent German and English skills, French skills are an advantage.
- Good understanding of the customer (market, organization, people, strategies, and contract conditions).
- Ideally, you have initial experience in category management.
- Customer orientation and your strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in consultative sales/selling, influencing skills, and negotiation skills.
