Your tasks
- Taking over night and weekend shifts
- Medical supervision and care of patients
- Performing blood draws
- Insertion of peripheral venous accesses
- Rounds of geriatric and internal medicine patients
- Review of laboratory and microbiology findings and ordering as well as implementation of appropriate medical measures (e.g., taking blood cultures, initiating antibiotic therapies after consultation with the on-call service)
- If necessary, bedside sonography of the urinary tract and pleura
- Emergency care of patients in the internal medicine, geriatrics, and addiction medicine departments
- Coordination with the on-call service in emergencies, transfers, and infections
- Needs-based clinical and medicinal treatment of addiction patients
- Documentation of rounds including laboratory rounds in the electronic patient record as well as in the medical handover list
- Personal and written handover to the medical colleagues at the end of the shift
Your profile
- Medical degree
- German medical license or professional permit
- Good knowledge of German
- Sense of responsibility and reliability
