With nearly 1,400 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics is a medical center focused on the elderly person and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.
Located in the heart of a park on the Belle-Idée estate, the Trois-Chêne Hospital welcomes people whose health condition requires hospitalization for acute geriatric or rehabilitation care. The hospital has a geriatric emergency unit that can accommodate patients aged 75 and over, excluding vital emergencies, a full radiology unit, an intermediate care unit, as well as acute and rehabilitation care units.
Job Description
As Head of Clinic, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the quality of medical services in the care units within your area of expertise.
You coordinate practical activities as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the patients entrusted to you in close collaboration with the assistant physicians.
Working in a stimulating university environment within an interdisciplinary team, you also contribute to the training of resident doctors.
You participate in clinical research activities and, according to your personal interest, start a quality or clinical research project with specific supervision.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
You benefit from or are close to obtaining the FMH specialty title in general internal medicine.
If you hold an FMH specialty title, you must have a practice license in the canton of Geneva.
For non-French-speaking candidates, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
Experience in acute internal medicine (emergency or intermediate care) or advanced training in geriatrics is a plus.
You are a person with good communication skills in an interdisciplinary team and with patients, dynamic, flexible, and committed.
