Attached to the Department of Medicine , the angiology and hemostasis service manages, both diagnostically and therapeutically, outpatients or hospitalized patients presenting arterial, venous, lymphatic, and microcirculatory vascular diseases. It also cares for outpatients or hospitalized patients with hemorrhagic or thrombotic diseases.
Job Description
As a senior physician, you will work in a stimulating university environment within a multidisciplinary team.
You have a strong interest in clinical research with the desire to integrate and develop clinical research projects within a service internationally recognized for research in venous thromboembolic disease.
You will be called upon to assist in managing clinical activities and the angiology unit's conferences. You will also participate in clinical activities.
You participate in the management and organization of on-call duties.
Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you participate in pre/postgraduate and continuing education in the specialty.
Dynamic, flexible, and committed, you develop interdisciplinary clinical projects. Additionally, you deploy and ensure research within the unit.
Qualifications
You hold a federal medical diploma and have obtained an FMH specialist title in angiology or vascular medicine. If your diploma and/or specialization comes from a foreign country, you have obtained or will need to obtain recognition from the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
You have several years of experience in the field of angiology.
You also hold a doctoral thesis or an equivalent recognized title.
You hold or will need to obtain a Geneva cantonal practice license.
For non-French-speaking applicants, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
Possessing excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person. Moreover, you demonstrate strong adaptability.
You show open-mindedness and leadership qualities allowing you to supervise and mentor interns and clinic chiefs as well as support and motivate staff. You have demonstrated teaching skills and a strong interest in research and innovation.
Finally, you have the ambition to promote and develop a high-level clinical and academic activity in your specialty field.
Additional Information
You will work day, night, and weekend shifts according to the service's needs.
