For our client Syngenta Crop Protection in Münchwilen (AG), we are immediately looking for a:
HSE Specialist
Purpose of the Role
As an HSE Specialist, you support the HSE team in Münchwilen and coordinate safety-related tasks in the areas of Health, Safety, and Environment. Your responsibilities include identifying and assessing risks, developing and implementing protective measures, as well as monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards to guarantee employee safety and environmental protection.
You work in an interdisciplinary team that supports the development and pilot plants for formulation and synthesis at the site on all occupational safety and health topics and coordinates the implementation of global guidelines and legal requirements.
Your Challenge
- Responsible as part of the team for implementing the Code of Practices in the areas of Health, Safety, and Environment, including updating and revalidating the HSE Site Directives and associated documents.
- Support in conducting workplace and process risk analyses.
- Support in managing waste, wastewater, and air emissions.
- Contact person for the work permit process and Life Saving Rules.
- Planning and conducting audits.
- Conducting root cause investigations and clarifications in case of incidents.
- Supporting team members in training.
- Advising internal customers on all occupational safety and health topics.
Qualifications
Your Experience & Competencies
- BSc, MSc or similar education in chemistry or process engineering with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in an international environment within a complex matrix organization. Knowledge of VUV, ArG, and EKAS 6508 etc. ASGS is an advantage.
- Very good German & English skills.
- Analytical thinking. Experience in project management is advantageous.
- Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
- High affinity for technology and innovation.
- Motivation to work and learn in a fast-paced environment.
