The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety at CHUV is looking to complete its team with a biomedical engineer. Desired start date: October 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Biomedical Engineering Service of the University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is responsible for providing advice and technical expertise during the purchase of biomedical equipment.
Mission
- You implement the equipment plan through project management and provide technical advice during the acquisition of medical equipment while ensuring regulatory and financial constraints are met
- You guarantee the quality of biomedical equipment acquisitions, their suitability to meet the needs of the services within the deadlines
- You technically coordinate their commissioning
- You participate in the planning and policy of biomedical device management
- You implement and monitor materiovigilance prescriptions
- You work in an environment subject to a Quality Management System.
Profile
- You hold a degree in biomedical engineering (master's degree)
- You have solid project management experience and knowledge of biomedical technologies and their management within a hospital: 8 years (required)
- You have significant experience as a hospital engineer in a laboratory with knowledge of in vitro diagnostic devices as well as "GMP" laboratories, which would be a plus
- You have perfect mastery of French as well as an operational level in English
- You are familiar with the main office and professional IT tools
- You have an excellent team spirit
- You demonstrate rigor, commitment, and organizational skills.
