The Center for Social Affairs is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100,000 people, we are actively engaged, low-threshold, and networked in the following areas: Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counseling, mother and father counseling, addiction counseling, and school social work.
Substitute Child & Adult Protection Officer
We support people in cases of illness, disability, and crisis situations. We assist, accompany, and represent people in personal matters, in contact with authorities, and in everyday transactions.
There is the possibility of a permanent position if desired.
Your tasks
- Managing official mandates in child and adult protection
- Accompanying, advising, and representing our clients in personal, legal, and financial matters
- Interdisciplinary work with involved professionals, authorities, and institutions
Your profile
- Completed studies in social work,
- Professional experience in child and adult protection is mandatory, experience as a substitute is an advantage
- Good knowledge of social insurance law
- Good written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a team
- Humor and a high degree of independence in autonomous work organization
- High resilience, empathy, and interest in people in difficult life situations
