As a Junior Food Engineer (m/f/d), you get the unique opportunity to gain 12 months of professional experience in our development and production department, from the idea through pilot trials to implementation on the plant. You take on your own subprojects, work in cross-functional teams, and are accompanied by an experienced mentor.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
Junior Food Engineer (m/f/d) 80 to 100%
- Recipe & Process Development: You develop and optimize recipes, product concepts, and manufacturing processes; you bring ideas structured from theory into practice.
- Project Work & Innovation Support: As part of a project team, you support development projects for new and existing products and take on your own tasks with clear responsibility.
- Trials, Scale-up & Production Transfer: You accompany trials from lab scale to implementation in production, evaluate results, and ensure a clean handover to operations.
- Regulatory & Data Readiness: You develop declaration proposals and maintain product data as well as product documentation; you work reliably, transparently, and audit-ready.
- Capex & Process Parameters: In strategically important investment projects, you bring the development perspective, support coordination, and help define process parameters.
- Plant Design & Layout: You contribute to the design and layout of production plants and think holistically about product, process, and feasibility.
- Operational Support & Continuous Improvement: You pitch in daily, gain insights into different work and production processes, identify improvement opportunities, and set priorities together with the team.
- Education: You have a completed university degree in food science or a comparable field; initial practical experience in the food industry, for example through internships or project work, is an advantage.
- Technical Curiosity & Innovation Enthusiasm: You are interested in demanding topics around recipe development, process engineering, and production processes; you actively contribute new ideas, test them in trials, and develop them until they are feasible.
- Drive & Ownership: You tackle tasks pragmatically, stay committed, and take responsibility for your tasks; even when project work needs to be done quickly or priorities change.
- Collaboration: You work independently, learn quickly, and feel comfortable in cross-functional teams; you communicate clearly, engage others, and find practical solutions together with development, quality, and production.
- Languages: You communicate confidently in German and English, both orally and in writing, and can document technical content clearly and coordinate within the team.
