At the Faculty of Theology of the University of Bern, a research assistant position for Interreligious Studies is to be filled as of January 1, 2026. The position is 20%, which can possibly also be divided into two 10% positions.
Tasks
- Contact person for questions and concerns of IRS students and strengthening the community and offerings of IRS students (e.g. IRS lunch);
- Administrative and technical support in event preparation and follow-up;
- Assistance in organizing and conducting IRS team meetings;
- Maintenance and management of online channels (Interrelblog, IRS website);
- Tasks in the organization of the IRS study program and its communication;
- Support in research and teaching (literature research and procurement, scanning orders, proofreading publications).
Requirements
- Studies in Interreligious Studies or other related fields;
- Good language skills in German and English;
- Independence and initiative;
- Teamwork skills, enjoyment in contact with students;
- Openness to or experience with new media (WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, podcasting).
