Operator for the control center within CIT-S
To complete its team, the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security (CIT-S) of CHUV is looking for an operator for the Control Center, with an activity rate between 80% and 100%, within the framework of an open-ended contract.
The starting date is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security (CIT-S) has as its main missions the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting within a large real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
Its missions are organized around three major axes:
- Construction and modernization: study and realization of architectural projects and renovation of technical installations
- Operation: maintenance of technical and biomedical equipment, infrastructures, and management of the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for medical, research, and administrative activities
- Protection and security: protection of property and people.
Mission
According to a rotating work schedule (3 × 8h30), including weekends, your main tasks are as follows:
- You ensure the operation of computer systems and peripheral equipment related to the management of technical infrastructures and building security systems, from the Control Center
- You manage intervention requests, by phone and via supervision tools, for troubleshooting and maintenance operations of installations and equipment
- You create, modify, and update equipment, graphical images, and programs of the various technical supervisions.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electrician or automation technician, or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in building trades
- You have good knowledge of standards and guidelines related to the field's activities
- You possess good computer skills, especially in technical areas, Excel, and CAD
- Initial experience in security and/or hospital environment is an asset
- You are able to work independently, manage sometimes complex or urgent situations while maintaining your calm and analytical capacity
- You are open to innovation and the constant evolution of a technical sector in perpetual transformation.
