Infrastructure Architect – Hybrid and Cloud Environments

As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you are responsible for the design, evolution, and coherence of the technical architectures of the information system, whether on-premise, cloud, or hybrid.

You ensure the performance, security, resilience, and sustainability of infrastructures, while ensuring their alignment with IT strategy and business challenges. You act as a cross-functional technical reference, working closely with project teams, operations, and partners.

In this role, you:

Design, document, and evolve infrastructure architectures (servers, storage, virtualization, networks, cloud).

Define and maintain architecture standards, technical references, and best practices.

Develop and update infrastructure mapping and evolution roadmaps.

Anticipate future needs and propose scalable, secure, and optimized architectures.

Evaluate and recommend technological choices (studies, POCs, benchmarks).

Support IT projects from the early phases (scoping, needs analysis, constraints, costs, and risks).

Integrate security, service continuity, and compliance requirements.

Work closely with operations teams to ensure the quality and performance of solutions.

Maintain active technological watch and propose continuous improvement directions.

Contribute to calls for tenders and major projects through your expertise.

Technical environment

Systems: Windows Server, Linux

Virtualization / containers: VMware, Kubernetes, Docker

Cloud & services: Azure, Microsoft 365 (hybrid environments)

Networks & security: LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, load balancers

Storage & backup: SAN, NAS, backup solutions

Tools: ITSM, monitoring, automation

Higher education in computer science or equivalent.

Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in infrastructure architecture or engineering.

Proven expertise in designing complex and critical infrastructures.

Strong knowledge of systems, virtualization, cloud, networks, security, and high availability.

Ability to formalize clear architectures using diagrams and structured technical documents.

Good understanding of hybrid environments and the challenges of performance, costs, and security.
