Construction Manager
Technical Office | 80-100 % | Thusis
The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for the implementation of hydraulic works and non-motorized traffic in Graubünden. We are also responsible for the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton presents in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As an office certified with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For this reason, we are committed to systematic health management in the company (GSA).
For the road maintenance department in District 7 Thusis, we are looking for a construction manager starting March 1, 2026 or by agreement.
- Management and supervision of assigned construction sites as the client representative
- Setting deadlines and coordinating work
- Ensuring quality, measurement activities, and execution of all contractually agreed work
- Preparation of estimates, tender documents, and calculations
- Monitoring the budget
- Performing technical tasks for road maintenance
- On-call service as intervention leader
- Completed professional apprenticeship in construction
- Further training as site manager, foreman, or construction manager or equivalent professional development
- Several years of professional experience in road construction and civil engineering
- Practical experience in describing services
- You are assertive, have organizational skills, negotiation abilities, and can work in a team
- Knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage
