Department: Social Work
Start of work: From August 1, 2026, or by arrangement / Application deadline until April 26, 2026
- You conduct research and teach in the areas of migration and social inequality from a social work perspective.
- You acquire and lead research projects and take co-responsibility in promoting young researchers.
- You conduct courses on the topic and supervise students in their bachelor or master theses.
- You actively contribute to good networking with relevant actors in the professional field as well as with the scientific community.
- You contribute your expertise, if possible, to continuing education offerings (e.g., co-lead CAS Asylum).
- Depending on your profile, you also acquire service projects such as tailored continuing education in your field for social work practice.
You have a master's degree in social work or in social or humanities sciences. For the assistant professorship, a PhD in social work or in social or humanities sciences is required. You bring several years of professional experience outside the university in the areas of migration, asylum, integration, or related social work-related fields of action. You are interested in social developments and bring your professional expertise reflectively and committedly into relevant fields of action. You have strong communication skills and understand how to bring different perspectives together. You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to its further development.
