Occupational therapist for the General Psychiatry Service
The General Psychiatry Service (PGE) is looking for an occupational therapist at a 40% activity rate, starting October 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The General Psychiatry Service (PGE) provides psychiatric care for the adult population (18 to 65 years old) of the Lausanne metropolitan area.
The service has about one hundred acute care beds on the Cery site and outpatient consultations in the city to best meet the needs of users and care network partners.
The General Psychiatry Service integrates a psychiatric and psychotherapeutic approach for all patients under its care, both in hospital and outpatient settings. Various professions coordinate to provide this care: doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, activity leaders, care assistants, or chaplains.
Mission
- You intervene early in an acute psychiatric care context
- You ensure quality occupational therapy services for patients
- You design and conduct prevention activities
- You develop the profession and the quality of services based on scientific evidence
- You work in a team and ensure collegial collaboration, both intra- and interprofessional.
Profile
- You hold a HES occupational therapist diploma (bachelor level) or an equivalent recognized title, as well as recognition from the Swiss Red Cross for foreign-trained personnel, which is mandatory
- You have experience in psychiatry, a plus
- You have several years of care experience, a plus
- You have a sense of autonomy and responsibility and good skills in negotiation, teamwork, and interdisciplinary communication
- You are interested in the continuous development of care quality in an environment dedicated to missions other than health.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be level 8 or 9.
