From April 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for a school social work specialist with a 90% workload.
Your tasks
You advise secondary school students on personal, social, and school-related challenges. You promote their integration into the class and support the school team in recognizing psychosocial problems and initiating early interventions. You contribute your expertise to positively shape participation opportunities and community building at the school. You maintain a sustainable network with relevant counseling centers. Together with other specialists, you build stage-specific, professionally sound, and needs-based school social work at Zurich secondary schools.
Your profile
You are a committed individual with professional experience in school social work or counseling experience in the youth sector. You are interested in age-typical developmental tasks and associated aspects of mental health. With your solution-oriented systemic approach, you can mediate well between different concerns. You have an independent, structured, and reflective working style and look forward to helping shape the new support offering at the secondary schools. Knowledge in concept and project work is advantageous. Your communication skills, teamwork, and resilience benefit you both in dealing with various stakeholders and in managing crises.
A formal requirement for application is a bachelor's degree in social work combined with further training in school social work (CAS) or a comparable field (CAS).
Our offer
We offer you a stimulating and dynamic working environment at our medium-sized school. Numerous special school bodies promote prevention, support, and counseling – individually as well as in the class and school community. The exchange between students, teachers, and school management is lively and intensive. For professional exchange, you are integrated into a regional team; cantonal impulse and experience exchange meetings promote knowledge transfer among professionals.
