Your Tasks
- Consulting and supporting researchers from all 6 departments on IT issues such as the use of scientific computing environments, special software, and in the context of data science
- Planning, evaluating, designing, developing, testing, and providing systems and services to support research
- Partial responsibility for defined IT services, systems, or applications
- Analysis, documentation, and optimization of existing processes and systems
- Collaboration with operational IT for the transition to production or the use of existing services
- Leading or participating in projects
- Ensuring stability, security, and availability of the systems managed
- Opportunity to take on responsibility in the context of Science IT
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent education
- Professional experience in a research environment
- Experience operating IT systems in Linux and/or Windows environments
- Current know-how in IT infrastructure, networking, IT security, and software development
- Comprehensive knowledge in data science and cloud infrastructures
- Knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Interest in scientific questions and enjoyment of working with researchers
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Team player with good communication skills
- Very good German skills and good English skills (especially in the scientific context)
- Service orientation and interest in learning new things, as well as analytical and conceptual thinking complete your profile
