The Crans-Montana Clinic, nestled in the heart of the Valais Alps, is a hospital site of the HUG. Its hospital missions consist of caring for patients for rehabilitation in general internal and psychosomatic medicine, polyvalent post-operative or post-hospitalization rehabilitation in an acute setting. The Crans-Montana Clinic holds FMH recognition for general internal medicine and trains internal medicine doctors. It develops academic research projects in connection with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.
Job Description
Under medical prescription, you provide occupational therapy treatments for patients hospitalized in a care unit dedicated to psychosomatic rehabilitation, internal medicine, and musculoskeletal care.
You identify the patient’s resources and difficulties in order to develop a personalized therapeutic project that allows you to foster their intrinsic motivation. You ensure its application by guaranteeing the quality and continuity of care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
You are responsible for conducting occupational therapy activities individually as well as in therapeutic education groups, either as the main facilitator or in interdisciplinary co-facilitation. You manage and update patient records by documenting the services provided and clinical information. You communicate information concisely. You measure and reassess rehabilitation goals during interdisciplinary meetings (visits and/or interdisciplinary rehabilitation conferences). In this context, you are open to questioning your practices and are capable of working in therapeutic co-leadership.
Your role involves participating in multidisciplinary projects within your department and sharing your practice with the professional occupational therapy network at HUG.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or an equivalent diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. A CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) as a trainer would be an asset.
You show a strong interest in the development of occupational therapy practice.
You master basic computer tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. You also have a good knowledge of the French language, with level C1 required for non-French-speaking candidates.
In daily work, you are able to respond to various simultaneous demands thanks to your sense of priorities, excellent stress management, and flexibility.
