What tasks will you take on?
- You are responsible for the systematic analysis of mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on cost, manufacturability, and value contribution
- You identify and implement design-to-cost potentials (material, technology, manufacturing processes)
- You actively participate in development projects from the concept phase to series/life cycle
- Conducting cost workshops and value analyses (e.g. e.g. Should-Cost considerations)
- You identify and evaluate cost reduction potentials of mechanical components
- You are responsible for building and maintaining cost models, benchmarks, and best-practice approaches
What do we expect from you?
- You have a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
- You have several years of experience in product development and cost engineering
- You have solid knowledge of mechanical manufacturing technologies (e.g. e.g. casting, forging, plastics, machining, etc.)
- You have an analytical, structured way of working with a strong cost and quality awareness
- You communicate fluently in both spoken and written German and English
