Job Description
Project Background (Greenfield Setup)
AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG is launching a new EASA Part‑147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) in Switzerland. The objective is to deliver EASA Part‑66 Basic Training leading to the Basic License pathway for Category B1.1 (Mechanical) and Category B2 (Avionics).
We are currently establishing our Part‑147 training organization and forming the initial instructor team. The successful candidates will help define training content and standards from the outset, ensuring full alignment with EASA requirements and FOCA/BAZL expectations.
Your daily tasks & responsibilities
As a Part 147 Instructor, you will deliver theoretical and/or practical training for B1/B2 basic training and actively contribute to building a compliant, audit ready training organization.
Theoretical Instruction
- Assist the Examination Manager in ensuring that the examination question data base remains compliant to Part 147 Regulation
- Deliver Part‑66 module-based classroom training for B1.1 and/or B2
- Develop and maintain lesson plans, training materials, exercises, and learning checks
- Support curriculum structure and module coverage planning
- Ensure training content remains fully compliant with EASA Part‑66 / Part‑147 requirements and aligned with FOCA expectations
Practical Training (Workshop / Hangar Environment)
- Conduct supervised hands‑on training (tools, maintenance practices, safety, workmanship standards)
- Coach students through practical tasks and required skill elements
- Maintain training records and evidence of practical training completion
- Promote a strong safety culture consistent with aviation maintenance standards
Build-Up Activities (Start-up Phase)
- Contribute to the creation of training processes, templates, and standardized documentation
- Support the setup of instructor competence records and training documentation
- Participate as an SME in internal readiness reviews and (if required) FOCA audits/visits
The expertise you have & skills you bring
- EASA Part‑66 License: Category B1 and/or B2 (B1+B2 is an advantage)
- Strong regulatory knowledge: proven understanding of
- EASA Part‑66 and EASA Part‑147, and
- FOCA / BAZL approval and oversight expectations in Switzerland
- Part‑145 experience: solid hands‑on background in an EASA Part‑145 maintenance environment (Line and/or Base)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical content clearly and consistently
- English proficiency: very good written and spoken English (training language); German and/or French is an advantage.
- Prior experience as an Instructor (theory and/or practical) in Part‑147, Part‑145 internal training, or vocational education
- Experience as a Practical Assessor or competence evaluator
- Familiarity with training documentation systems, LMS tools, or digital exam/training platforms
- Experience supporting audits, compliance checks, or training organization documentation (e.g., MTOE-related procedures)
- Experience working with international trainees (e.g., airline-sponsored cohorts)
