The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences . This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and otorhinolaryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).
The department's goal is to guide patients towards regaining their autonomy through education, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures both the operation of patients and their support to promote early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also prioritized and surgical activity optimized to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.
The Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery service provides comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and psychological care for patients, newborns, children, adults, and elderly people suffering from ENT disorders, ranging from sensory functional disorders (hearing, balance, smell, taste) or motor disorders (facial paralysis, laryngeal paralysis, swallowing disorders) to organic lesions (infectious, malformative, benign and malignant tumors).
The service has an 18-bed 3DL hospitalization unit, an outpatient care unit, and a polyclinic with a day emergency reception service 5 days a week. Additionally, the unit accommodates patients from the ophthalmology service at 3DL for hospital care.
Job Description
You will join a unit specialized in ENT surgery at 3DL and will also be involved in the care of patients as part of their oncological follow-up.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team: doctors, speech therapists, nursing assistants, technical assistants, secretaries, IPM, dietitians, and social workers.
Meticulous, you have excellent mastery of technical procedures and clinical assessment.
You have good adaptability that allows you to manage unforeseen events in a context of high patient flow.
You have good stress management skills during emergency situations and a keen sense of priorities.
You ensure precise and rigorous information transmission within multidisciplinary teams.
You participate in the therapeutic education of patients operated on for ENT cancer who need rehabilitation in managing tracheostomy cannulas and gastrostomy tubes in preparation for returning home.
You participate in the supervision of new nursing staff and other health professionals.
Your learning abilities allow you to continuously improve your practice.
You establish a respectful relationship, attentive to patients, adapting your communication to different situations.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor HES degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification.
You have 3 years of experience, possess knowledge, and have an interest in the technical aspects of care.
You wish to expand your skills in a specialized service.
You can work within a multidisciplinary team while independently managing fluctuating demands. You interact with other HUG services.
You have interpersonal skills, rigor, flexibility, versatility, and openness to change.
