Operating room scheduling secretaries in the Pediatric Surgery Department
The Women-Mother-Child Department is recruiting two operating room scheduling secretaries. The proposed activity rates range from 70% to 100% for a first position, and from 50% to 60% for a second position. The start date is scheduled for May 1, 2026, or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME), the Child and Adolescent Surgery Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It maintains close links with other department services such as neonatology, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics.
Mission
- You plan surgical interventions in collaboration with the medical head of the operating program, taking into account constraints and needs
- You summon patients according to the different modalities of the operating program
- You ensure the organization of pre-surgical consultations
- You manage the administrative handling of patient files
- You ensure the flow of information internally and externally
- You provide administrative support for the smooth running of the unit
- You actively contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the unit's services.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC and a medical secretary diploma or a medical assistant CFC or an equivalent recognized qualification
- You master medical terminology and are comfortable with computer tools (especially Digistat and Ultragenda)
- Your organizational skills, ability to take initiative, and work independently are recognized qualities. Your effective stress management, sense of responsibility, and collaboration will allow you to integrate quickly into a multidisciplinary team and successfully carry out the duties of this position
- Experience in the operating room field would be a significant asset, as well as knowledge of institutional IT tools Soarian, Ultragenda, and SAP.
