About the job
(Annually May to October, 10–20% paid hourly)
The activity includes field work in various projects as well as leading or accompanying work assignments with groups. Practical tasks include, among others, the restoration of historic dry stone walls, the control of invasive neophytes, or habitat enhancements for rare wild bee species. Do you enjoy working outdoors, can competently lead groups, and have extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for the region, nature, and landscape? Then an exciting activity in a meaningful work environment awaits you!
Tasks
- Leading or assisting with work assignments with groups
- Preparation for assignments (work location, tools, materials, emergency equipment)
- Post-assignment follow-up (reporting)
- Maintaining contact with local actors from agriculture and forestry
- Restoration of dry stone walls
- Control of invasive neophytes
- Habitat enhancements and monitoring tasks within the insect project
Requirements
- Knowledge of landscape management and nature conservation
- Knowledge about Parc Ela and the region or willingness to acquire it
- Target group-appropriate communication of nature park topics
- Enjoyment of physical work in nature
- Flexibility, independence, teamwork skills, sociability, and openness
- Open, communicative, integrative personality that can inspire others
- Car driving license category B
- Advantageous: Romance and/or Italian as well as English language skills
- Advantageous: Residence in Parc Ela
