The Cantonal Tax Office is responsible for enforcing the provisions of federal, cantonal, and municipal taxes. It ensures the complete registration of all taxpayers, professional and customer-oriented tax assessment, and uniform tax collection.
The Legal Entities main department of the Cantonal Tax Office St.Gallen is responsible for the correct and uniform assessment of companies.

What to expect
- You review tax returns of legal entities and carry out the corresponding assessments according to the applicable tax law requirements
- You maintain close contact with companies and their representatives – in writing, by phone, or in person – and apply your expertise, communication skills, and negotiation abilities effectively
- You handle legal remedies and provide case-related tax law information
What distinguishes you
- You have a completed bachelor's degree or higher education in business administration (e.g., fiduciary with a federal diploma, finance and accounting specialist with a federal diploma, or an equivalent qualification)
- You bring experience in the tax field, fiduciary, or accounting – or the motivation to quickly familiarize yourself
- You are resilient, decisive, and work independently
- You are strong in communication, skilled in negotiation, and present yourself confidently
