Assistant in Community Care and Health in Geriatric Psychiatry
The Geriatric Hospital Unit of the North Vaud Psychiatry Center of the University Geriatric Psychiatry Service (SUPAA) is looking for an assistant in community care and health at an 80% rate starting February 1, 2026.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
SUPAA is a specialized service with the mission to ensure care, teaching, and research in the field of geriatric psychiatry. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action.
The Geriatric Psychiatry Hospital Service of CPNVD includes a 24-hour emergency service and a unit that can receive patients with any geriatric psychiatric pathology.
Mission
- You responsibly and autonomously support patients and compensate for the disabilities of dependent persons in performing daily life activities for which you are responsible
- You ensure the execution and monitoring of activities delegated to you by qualified staff
- You provide, under delegation, medical-technical acts in stable situations that do not present an emergency character
- You perform administrative and logistical tasks related to your activity, mainly linked to the patients you care for
- You work as part of a team and respect the institution's rules.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as Assistant in Community Care and Health (or an equivalent recognized title)
- You are a dynamic, committed, motivated person with a sense of responsibility and good interpersonal skills
- You can demonstrate experience with elderly people and/or in psychiatry
- Knowledge of institutional software (Soarian electronic patient record) is an asset
- You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written (level B2).
