Your tasks
- Development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines: extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources
- Automation of processes for continuous data processing (batch or real-time data).
- Integration of data from various sources such as APIs, sensors, streaming services, or internal systems.
- Design of data warehouses and data lakes
- Implementation of methods for data cleansing and quality assurance
- Validation and monitoring of data
- Optimization of data queries and storage solutions
- Building scalable architectures that can efficiently process large amounts of data
- Implementation of data security policies
- Automation of data pipelines and reporting processes
- Modeling of data structures
- Management and administration of the data platform
- Collaboration with data architects, data analysts, data scientists, and cross-departmental stakeholders
Your profile
- Several years of experience in data engineering, data ingestion, and data platforms
- Proficient in CI/CD, test-driven development, and automated deployments
- Very good programming skills in Python as well as solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational and NoSQL systems
- Several years of experience in Azure Databricks and PowerBI
- Familiar with streaming technologies (such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
- Fluent German in spoken and written form is required
