The construction department, covering the areas of structural and civil engineering, traffic and environment, as well as local planning, encompasses a versatile and exciting field. We are looking for you from July 1, 2026, or by agreement as a committed
The municipality of Goldach and the city of Rorschach are jointly planning the creation of a competence center for construction and environment. As part of this forward-looking cooperation, the departments of both municipalities are expected to be merged as of January 1, 2027. Within the framework of this restructuring, there is an exciting opportunity to take over the management of the civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, and traffic department as well as the deputy head of the Construction and Environmental Services Region Rorschach (BUD-RR) and actively contribute to its further development.
Until the merger of the departments of both municipalities, you will have the following responsibilities as head of the construction administration and workshop of Goldach:
- Management of structural and civil engineering (including hydraulic engineering), traffic, and environment
- Technical and administrative management of building permit procedures
- Local planning
- Planning, control, maintenance, and supervision of all structural and civil engineering works of the municipality and school
- Interfaces with architects, engineers, contractors
- Organization of waste disposal
- Budgeting, contract awards, schedule controls, cost and quality controls
- The head of construction administration supervises the employees of the construction administration, the head of the workshop with the workshop team, as well as the property manager with the entire caretaker service
- Completed bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering, traffic engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in civil engineering as well as in leading employees
- Strong assertiveness combined with high teamwork skills
- Confident appearance, negotiation skills, and very good communication skills
- An interesting, varied, and independent activity with responsibility and scope for design
