The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) oversees the Office for Labor, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV). The Office for Mobility shapes traffic development in the Canton of Zurich with the goal of enabling demand-oriented and sustainable mobility for a livable Canton of Zurich and deals with future topics such as digitalization, climate protection, and the infrastructure of the future. The main areas of responsibility of the approximately 80 employees include the development and implementation of overall traffic concepts and agglomeration programs, the substantive responsibility for cantonal traffic spatial planning, strategic planning of road infrastructures, and supervision of the night flight regulations at Zurich Airport. Your main tasks
- Personnel and professional leadership of one employee
- Representation of the office in the specialist area within the Directorate of Economic Affairs, the cantonal administration, possibly in the Cantonal Council (KEVU), and externally
- Management and coordination of accounting and the budgeting process
- Preparation of investment and financial planning
- Building and application of expert knowledge in the area of road funds
- Operation and updating of cost and performance controlling, the internal control system, and risk management
Our requirements
- Higher education in finance and controlling (Bachelor, Federal Diploma)
- Experience in administration is an advantage
- Several years of experience in finance and controlling
- Leadership experience in a similar function is an advantage
- Team player with high social competence
- Strong hands-on mentality and high resilience
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
