Extrusion Technician (LR) - Georg Fischer LLC, Irvine, CA

Your tasks

• The Extrusion Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion machines used in the
• production of pipe. The ideal candidate has experience in extrusion processes, demonstrates strong mechanical
• aptitude, and ensures product quality and equipment efficiency.
• Set up and operate extrusion machines according to job specifications and safety standards
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output
• Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to maintain optimal production conditions
• Make repairs to equipment when necessary and replace all broken and/or worn components
• Perform routine quality checks and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Record production data and complete shift logs accurately
• Load raw materials and monitor material feed
• Follow all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the Production Manager immediately
• Commitment to our continuous improvement and safety initiatives
• Identify, label, weigh and dispose of scrap
• Clean and maintain machines and work area to ensure operational efficiency
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams as needed
• Fulfill the role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction
• Identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions or deviation
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Your profile

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent
• 6 months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. standing/walking 8
• hours per day
• Ability to read and write English clearly and
• concisely
• Must have the capability to correctly identify the
• different materials and product
• Ability to drive a forklift to move material and pipe
• Must be able to work with minimum direction after
• being trained
