The Zurich University of Teacher Education actively shapes education, school, and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The Early Childhood Department is responsible for the training of primary school teachers for grades 1-5 (kindergarten and lower primary).

- Leadership with impact: You take over the professional and personnel management of the Education & Upbringing area and drive its content and conceptual development forward.
- Co-shape the future-oriented study program: As co-leader of the Kindergarten and Lower Primary program, you shape the curriculum, ensure the coherence of the overall program (including variants), design quality development as well as financial management, promote collaboration with lecturers, and plan and organize the study program.
- Act networked: You advise students and maintain a dialogical exchange with them. In addition, you actively engage in regional, national, and international networks - with universities, practice fields, and educational policy actors.
- Be scientifically visible: You contribute your own scientific work (publications, conferences, inputs) focusing on professionalization, teacher education, and the target level kindergarten and lower primary.

- A university master’s degree in a social science discipline, ideally in educational science or psychology, complemented by a doctorate
- Comprehensive skills and experience in curriculum development
- Leadership experience in a university context - or a recognizable potential for it. You are familiar with financial management.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects as well as a strong willingness to actively shape development and innovation processes.
- A practical approach to the target level kindergarten and lower primary, ideally through teaching experience and teaching qualification.
- A communicative, humorous personality with high self-reflection, social skills, and joy in collaboration.
