Job opening for a 75% sociocultural animator position within the Grand-Saconnex Leisure & Meeting Center.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for socio-educational and sociocultural work, animation, and reception mainly in the pre-teen (10-13 years) and teen (13-18 years) sectors, but also in various projects or general public receptions;
- Participate in the reflection, development, and implementation of the associative project and animation program;
- Participate in the development of associative life and neighborhood animation;
- Assume field and management tasks related to activities;
- Ensure the supervision of monitors and interns;
- Participate in communication and the development of various documentation materials;
- Assume administrative tasks and responsibilities related to the sociocultural animator role;
- Actively contribute to maintaining good team cohesion (clear and benevolent communication) and generally with all staff.
Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or equivalent qualification;
- Adherence to the Cantonal Charter as well as the associative project of the Leisure & Meeting Center;
- Experience in sociocultural animation with a pre-teen and/or teen population, additional experience with other audiences is welcome;
- Adaptability skills and willingness to work in a team;
- Ability and willingness to work in a network: animators, monitors, administrative and technical staff, management committee, neighborhood associations, partners and social actors, etc.;
- Interests and skills in the associative and sociocultural fields of Geneva and experience in project organization;
- Initiative, autonomy, creativity, versatility, and ability to take on responsibilities;
- Organizational and anticipation skills;
- Open-mindedness, flexibility, and kindness;
- Communication and emotional management skills;
- Good knowledge of common computer tools, Mac environment, and ease in administrative management;
- Good writing skills, rigor, and respect for deadlines.

- Flexibility in working hours: availability and openness to irregular hours (evenings, weekends, school holidays);
- D1 driving license, an asset;
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale, maximum class 15;
