PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Corporate Partnerships team continues to support the management of a growing and increasingly complex portfolio of high-value partnerships across 15 National Committees predominately, with support to Regions and Country Offices. Over the last year, having dedicated consultancy to support the US has proven critical for ensuring the PFP US Partnership Management team has been able to support over 17 high priority and international corporate partnerships.
In 2026, to maintain the support and leadership of the PFP Corporate Partnerships team, we require continued consultancy support across our portfolio to maximize income and non-financial value. The consultant will continue to sustain and build on the momentum achieved in 2025 and engage with the US, Canada and a number of other markets as we broaden out the remit of the position. The consultancy will additionally provide critical support for the launch of the Global Emergency Alliance in 2026 and advance our approach for engagement with the Financial Services industry.
How can you make a difference?
SCOPE OF WORK:
Working alongside the PFP Partnership Management team, the Consultant will support the strategic direction, proposition development, management, recognition opportunities, growth, and renewal of high-value partnerships.
Key responsibilities will include coordinating and executing partnership activities, ensuring alignment with both organizational and partner objectives, and identifying new opportunities for collaboration. It will also include the contribution to key renewal discussions. Successful outcomes in this consultancy role will ensure that these partnerships meet or exceed financial resource targets while also achieving broader objectives, such as expanding the organization’s reach, influencing key audiences, and enhancing its reputation and respect in the market.
This consultancy role will also provide additional strategic support on other key projects, such as the Global Corporate Emergency Alliance, and refining a newly developed strategy for the financial sector. These tasks will require close collaboration with PFP units as well as other divisions within UNICEF, such as the Programme Group, the Division of Global Communication & Advocacy, and others, to deliver the desired outcomes.

Implementation, growth, and renewal of US Fund portfolio of partnerships are supported, with progress documented in the report, and additional markets to be determined by the PFP Corporate Partnerships team.
For each account supported, a clear understanding of PFP role and a clear plan of action is developed and documented.

Strategic support to other markets.
Support the portfolio of a maximum of 4 markets with partnerships to be decided and as needed, by assisting with their implementation, growth, and renewals. For each account, a clear understanding of PFP role and a clear plan of action is developed and documented. By December 2026 Strategic support to partners UNICEF Mental Health Coalition: Pinterest and lululemon. In coordination with supervisor, act as team focal point for Mental Health Coalition, opportunities for growth are identified and coordinated, with outcomes summarized. By April 2026
Strategic support to UNICEF’s Global Emergency Alliance.
Working with the supervisor, act as a Partnership Development team focal point for the Global Emergency Alliance to assess opportunities, build a pipeline and support enabling teams where needed. By March 2026Develop an engagement strategy for the financial sector and act as team focal point for the sector.
- A strategy to engage the financial sector is developed and refined, by collaborating with the corporate team, and other units and Divisions.
- Dissemination of the strategy to markets is supported through timely coordination and communication.
- Internal stakeholders via a Working Group is convened – with clear KPIs and objectives.
Consultant's Workplace and Official Travel:
The Consultant will be remote/home-based. As part of the assignment, there is a possibility of travel during the assignment on a per need basis and this will be covered separately by UNICEF, and not included in the lump sum fee. The consultant will arrange her/his travel as and when they take place, and related costs will be reimbursed per UNICEF travel policy.
Travel Clause:
- All UNICEF rules and regulations related to travel of Consultants apply.
- All travels shall be undertaken only upon the prior written approval by UNICEF.
- The consultant must be fit to travel, be in a possession of the valid UN BSAFE certificate, obligatory inoculation(s) and have a valid own travel/medical insurance and an immunization/vaccination card.

Education:
- An Advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Business, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related fields. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional work experience in corporate partnerships is required, ideally including experience in a field or programme setting, commercial or non-commercial partnership management, or marketing.
- At least two (2) years of international experience in the aforementioned areas is an asset.
- Experience of working with business on global partnerships within the UN and/or UNICEF is an asset.
- Experience working with UN and/or UNICEF is an asset.
- Experience working with the US and/or Canadian markets is an asset.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.

Remarks:
Please indicate your all-inclusive (lump sum) fees against the deliverables listed above, including all associated administrative and travel costs (if applicable), in the cover letter. The office selects the individual based on best value for money.
Payment of professional fees will be based on submission of agreed deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment in case the deliverables submitted are not up to the required standard or in case of delays in submitting the deliverables on the part of the consultant.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
