The district council is the judicial appellate authority in the area of child and adult protection and the first instance of appeal against decisions of municipal authorities. In addition, the district council supervises the activities of the city of Zurich. It consists of the president, who also acts as deputy, and four members and is administratively and professionally supported by the district council office.
We are looking to complement our team immediately or by arrangement with a fixed-term legal secretary 70% for one year.
Your tasks
- Independent handling of procedures in the area of approval of property acquisition by persons abroad (Lex Koller) as well as appeal procedures from the entire area of district council activities (mainly child and adult protection law, social welfare law, personnel law, school system, municipal law)
- Representation of the council clerk during absences
- General collaboration in the district council office
Your profile
- Completed law degree (MLaw / lic. iur.)
- Professional experience in public administration and/or at a court (preferably as a court clerk)
- Independent, efficient and precise way of working
- Confident German and editorial skills
- Willingness and ability to engage and quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law
- Teamwork and collegiality
