Data manager Open Government Data (OGD)
Office of Economy and Tourism | 80-100% | Chur
The data & statistics sector within the Office of Economy and Tourism prepares public statistics and develops economically relevant bases for the Canton of Graubünden. Additionally, the sector is currently setting up the data management system for the operation of Open Government Data (OGD) in the cantonal administration. In its role and thanks to its data expertise, the team serves as an important link between politics, administration, population, economy, and science.
To complete our team, we are looking immediately or by agreement for a data manager Open Government Data (OGD).
Tasks
- Collaboration in expanding the OGD offering and operating the cantonal OGD platform.
- Management and publication of data on the OGD platform as well as the entry of standardized metadata into it.
- Preparation of statistical and economic bases for thematic publications of the data & statistics section.
- Creation of dashboards and data visualizations.
- Implementation of processes and standards for data collection, quality, and security as well as for their management.
- Collaboration with internal and external administration partners as well as with other interest and specialist groups to promote and develop the OGD offering.
- Active participation in setting up a cantonal OGD community as well as in planning and implementing community events
What we expect from you
- University or university of applied sciences degree in economics, information management, data science, or a related field.
- Good knowledge and experience in data processing and analysis.
- Excellent spoken and written German skills, good English skills, knowledge of other cantonal languages is an advantage.
- Assumed programming knowledge with Python and R.
- Basic knowledge of web development (CSS, HTML).
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail with a goal-oriented working method.
- Innovative and independent person who enjoys working in a team and loves challenges.
