Full or Associate Professor, Chief Physician of the Infectious Diseases Department
Description
This is a hospital-university position of chief physician of the Infectious Diseases Department, including a professorial fraction. This position is attached to the hospital and academic departments of medicine. The candidate must have extensive clinical experience in infectious diseases as well as recognized qualities in management, communication, and leadership, to lead a university clinical service with a strong clinical activity of inpatient and outpatient consultations. Through their work, the candidate will supervise, organize, and develop the activity within their department by strengthening the links between the different areas of expertise such as bacteriology, virology, transplantation, and HIV infections. Strong links must also be maintained with the pediatric infectiology unit, the Infection Prevention and Control Service, the Tropical and Humanitarian Medicine Service, as well as with other services of the Geneva University Hospitals.
The ability to lead high-level research in the field of infectious diseases is required, as well as recognized skills in mentoring, team management, and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Requirements
- Medical doctorate and specialization in infectious diseases or equivalent qualifications.
- Relevant experience in research leadership and teaching.
