Physiotherapist for the Department of Clinical Neurosciences
The Physiotherapy Service of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) is looking for a physiotherapist, with a workload between 80% - 100%, for a start date on February 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences includes the Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation Services, the Leenaards Memory Center, the Neuroscience Research Center, and the Spinal Surgery Service. It cares for patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from the brain to the muscle.
The Physiotherapy Service of the DNC, led by Mr. G. Eberlé (chief physiotherapist) and Ms. K. Van Den Keybus Deglon (unit head), has 20 professionals who intervene at all levels of care, from acute hospitalization to outpatient follow-up, particularly with patients suffering from neurological pathologies (stroke, TBI, etc.).
Mission
You will join a dynamic and committed team where your physiotherapy expertise will directly contribute to the well-being of patients and the quality of care.
- You ensure the quality and continuity of care in preventive, curative, palliative, and educational fields by performing precise clinical evaluations and applying current professional standards
- You participate in the organization and coordination of work within the interprofessional team
- You develop prevention, functional rehabilitation, and social reintegration actions adapted to each situation
- You contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and efficiency of services, relying on evidence-based data and your analytical skills.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy or an equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- You master spoken and written French and have knowledge of scientific English
- You are familiar with common computer tools and aspects related to patient record documentation
- You demonstrate strong personal and ethical commitment in your public service
- You are respectful, empathetic, attentive, and possess real interpersonal skills
- You have good analytical and synthesis skills, a team spirit, and collaboration abilities
- You are flexible, able to adapt to unforeseen events, and manage tensions professionally.
Depending on the candidate's experience, the salary class ranges between level 8 and 9.
